Latin Tracks

A catchy Latin rhythm in cut time to get those feet tapping! Once the downbeat is firmly established the syncopation begins. Keep it steady so everyone is ‘syncopating in sync’. The hands play close together so economy of movement is encouraged. The music is written on one stave for each part but the notes can be divided between the hands as desired. The listener hears a continuous cascading syncopated passage where each player gets a chance to join the fun. The final entry sees everyone playing in unison and ending on the downbeat – hopefully all at the same time!
